On this winters day, its lovely to sit have some veg from the garden. The last of the tomatoes and some carrots now the ground isn't frozen!
All to go with freshly made bread and home made lentil soup with a chicken bone broth base.
At this time of year with all the bugs going around its important to feed the body well. Adding some fresh fruit and veg as a side is a great way to increase your daily fruit and veg intake as well as addung more fibre to help keep you regular. (Your microbiomes will thank you).
Did you know that the governments recommendation of 5 fruit and veg a day is not enough for best health? It was set at that level as they thought people might achieve that but wouldn't feel so bad if they didn't!
The recommended portions of fruit and veg per day should be between 8 and 10...more veg than fruit as a 3 to 1 ratio.
Go on add a extra amount of veg on your dinner tonight and any other meal you can.

What a joyful end to my first week back at work. Dinner out with this lovely crew at Threebirds Edinburgh. Jonathan Ramsay, Mel Brown, Barbara Scott and everyone from Institut Marques.
One day of first aid training, 12 clients, 7 loads of work washing, one day of a light dusting of snow. And a few hundred emails to clear.
Yes I love my job and I'm very lucky to work with such lovely clients and colleagues.

Happy Hogmanay.
As we close out 2025, I have been reflecting on the past year.
Its been a busy one, with lots of learning for setting up my new offerings coming next year.
After starting the year recovering from double surgery including hand surgery (never good for a reflexologist and massage therapist) and then from July having 5 months of a so far unidentified reason for carrying extra fluid that has now resolved (totally weird and soooo many negative tests) I am now going into 2026 feeling better than I have for a year!
I still managed to pack in lots this year, life has to be lived and I certainly got to do that.
Trips to Paris, London, Bolton, Birmingham all for education with networking, conversations, old friendships strengthened and new ones made.
I also had fun along the way, theatre and cinema trips, Edinburgh Fringe, Madness and even the Regent Road Christmas lights helped fill my cup.
Yes my travel didn't always go smoothly, an extra night in Paris airport wasn’t planned but each time I have got home safely. Its now a talking point of my trips and I'm sure people are betting on if I make it there and back without issues 🤣
(I can honest).
Without my clients I wouldn't have a reason to go to all these places to learn so thank you for inspiring me to learn more to help you more.
I have some exciting thing's happening in 2026 and can't wait to share them after the year.
Wishing you all a Happy New Year from Scotland x
